LABORARTORY BRNO
Šiška, Jaroslav ; Drápal, Jaroslav (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
The subject of this proposal is a galery of architecture understood in a greater sense as a temple of architecture. Urbanism is together with layout and operating opportunities strictly subordinated to this strong theme. Emphasis coming out of urban-related solution is highlighting the subordination of the interrelations. Also, the concept of the predominantly artificial lighting of the galery is supporting the philosophy of the proposal as well as the stability of the illuminated exposition. The emphasis is also put on the exposed artwork and the way it can be admired without any disturbing factors.

Brno lives on Veveří again
Cejpová, Pavlína ; Kaštánková, Jana (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of two apartment buildings and adjacent public spaces. This thesis develops the previous architectural-urbanistic study of the space near the city street Veveří. The houses have variaous apartements ( from units with 1 bedroom to units with 3 bedrooms). The houses form the boundary of the newly designed public space. Commercial units are designed on the ground floor as well as housing facilities. Although the houses are located on a corner, it cannot be said that these are completely typical corner houses. The work tries to fulfill the theme of life on the city street Veveří, which is unattractive in the location.
